Lindsay Wrightson - Chair of Ryedale Free Fridge - receives recognition from North Yorkshire High Sheriff Venetia Wrigley

The Wesley Centre today played host to a visit by the new High Sheriff of North Yorkshire, Mrs Venetia Wrigley.  Mrs Wrigley, who is also Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, spent time visiting volunteers from the Ryedale Free Fridge at the Wesley Centre in Malton, together with Malton's Minister and Superintendent of the Ryedale Methodist Circuit and some of its members from the Church.  Paul Emberley, a trustee at the Wesley Centre, and Mayor of Malton was also in attendance. Venetia Wrigley will spend her year in office thanking all the small charities for being community lifelines during the pandemic.  She said: “After a very tough 2020, I am ever hopeful that 2021 will bring a semblance of normality for everyone - and it was so good to meet people at the Wesley Centre today who are doing such a vital job for the community."
