so far...songs of love, loss and pirates

Pen and Stu are a York based acoustic duo. Their songs have rich, soulful, strong, haunting lead vocals, driving rhythm guitar and melodious bass lines. They released their debut album - “so far…songs of love, loss and pirates” in March 2017 which has a range of musical influences from country to folk.
A year later and a new five track EP, “New Horizon” has been released. “New Horizon” is a live studio recording, which has a traditional folk feel and includes three tracks inspired by the sea.
Pen and Stu have had nationwide radio airplays including, Express FM Portsmouth, Beyond Radio Lancaster, Triangle Radio Gloucester, Zetland FM Redcar, BCB Bradford, Beverley FM, Radio Winchcombe Folk Show, Bishop Auckland FM, and BBC Introducing North Yorkshire. They have also made a number of live radio appearances.
Pen and Stu regularly gig across Yorkshire and beyond, from Bath to Holy Island. 2018 is a busy year with many festival bookings, including Filey Folk Festival, the Great North Folk Festival, Haworth Folk Rhythm and Blues Festival and Cottingham Springboard Festival. 2018 also saw the release of a charity single, ‘…and the boat sails on’ dedicated to the work of the R.N.L.I. which will be included on an album to raise money for the lifeboats.
